Stone and seafoam and steel and fire
I lay beside the sea, prone to the stars
Ziggy Stardust crooned his lamenting hymnal
Each word dripping into my ears
Sweet and thick as honey, dark and rich as wine
The hunter wheeled above me, Orion and his
Companions, turning turning in their endless march
Each point of light a votive taper
Burning slow and steady, in the endless cathedral
Of the night unbroken.
